Does anyone agree that the interior of the Tesla Model S feels cheap?

Of course it’s cheap, but there’s a simple reason: Tesla originally thought the (quickly discontinued) $52,000 S40 would be the volume seller, based on what folks at Tesla then told me at least. Not the $100k+ versions today, and the $99k+ average selling price in 2016: Trending Analysis: How Much Consumers Pay for A Tesla on Average? Add in the very high initial cost of the battery packs themselves, back in 2011–2012 … and there wasn’t much margin for an S-Class interior on a $52,000 car with a $20,000+ battery pack. Not would anyone have expected one then. For a $140k+ car in 2017? Yeah, it’s awfully cheap. View original question on quora
